The May 2026 Fashion Moments We Can’t Stop Thinking About

by : Lauren Knowles

Jacob Elordi fronts the latest Bleu de Chanel campaign, fashion gets sporty, plus more breaking news.

In the fashion industry, there’s never a dull moment. At the end of each month, we reflect on the must-know fashion happenings, collaborations and launches from the past four weeks in this recurring column. As for May, our thoughts were consumed by Jacob Elordi in the new Bleu de Chanel campaign, sporty newness from Joe Fresh and Roots, and more star-studded campaigns featuring VIPs like Hailey Bieber and Sandra Hüller.

Jacob Elordi’s Inaugural Bleu de Chanel Campaign Drops

One month after Jacob Elordi’s appointment as the newest Bleu de Chanel ambassador, his first campaign for the fragrance’s L’Exclusif edition is here. Written and directed by Alfonso Cuarón, the action-packed short film follows the actor on a thrilling chase to capture the iconic blue glass bottle—and the masked woman keeping it just out of reach. As for the scent—which is now available in a larger 160ml format—the Maison describes it as “the ultimate, most mysterious expression of Bleu de Chanel, a dense and complex, woody ambery-aromatic scent with an intense trail.”

Knix’s Iconic Dream Boxer Gets a New Look

The Dream Boxer you know and love from Knix just got a cheeky makeover. Meet the Mini Dream Boxer—a shorter, lighter version of the OG bestseller. The new bottoms are available in a cutesy assortment of Blue Stripe, Pink Stripe and Cheetah designs, as well as classic Black. Still comfortable. Still designed with built-in protection. Still easy to wash. Just cheekier than ever.

Lauren Chan Celebrates Pride With a Limited-Edition Joe Fresh Capsule

With days to go until Pride month officially kicks off, Lauren Chan‘s Pride-themed collection at Joe Fresh couldn’t have come at a better time. Inspired by the idea of teamwork, an athletic vibe flows through the range’s assortment of tees, shorts and hats. “For 2026, I wanted this collection to both re-energize people who have been in this fight for a long time and invite new folks to join us in our mission for equality,” the multi-hyphenate writes to ELLE Canada. “You will notice the colorways are inspired by the top of the Progress Pride flag, which represents some of our most marginalized communities, especially our trans siblings and trans people of colour—in order to continue our progress towards equality, we need to uplift the whole roster.” The retailer has also donated $25,000 to Pflag Canada in support of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities.

Maguire and Eliza Faulkner Drop the Ultimate Canadian Fashion Collaboration

As far as iconic duos go, it hardly gets chicer (or more Canadian) than shoe brand Maguire and fashion designer Eliza Faulkner teaming up. The pair have collaborated on an 8-piece collection of fantastic Maguire footwear reimagined with Faulkner’s magic touch. Think: Polka dot pumps, metallic ballet sneakers, and pastel peek-a-boo heels. “For us, this collaboration felt incredibly natural,” says Myriam Belzile-Maguire, co-founder and lead designer of Maguire, in a press statement. “We’re both women-owned, Montreal-based brands with a love for colour and out-of-the-box design,” adds Faulkner, the founder and designer of her eponymous label.

Sandra Hüller is the Newest Face of Chanel

You may recognize Sandra Hüller from films like Project Hail Mary and Anatomy of a Fall, but the German actor’s latest role is Chanel’s new House Ambassador. “Chanel’s distinctive style is a blend of tradition and boldness. Matthieu’s approach to his craft echoes values like authenticity, innovation, and a respect for heritage that doesn’t fear reinvention,” she says in a press statement. “I love his vision. It’s daring, true to the essence of the House. And it is full of pleasure! I can’t wait to see what’s next.”

Hailey Bieber Fronts Mango’s Latest Craft Your Own Story Campaign

Mango continues its “Craft Your Own Story” series with none other than Hailey Bieber as the face of the campaign. Shot in Los Angeles, the new California-inspired collection contains a summer-ready spread of microshorts, chic mini dresses, oversized jackets, and splashes of bold crimson and cobalt blue hues. Bieber, the model and business mogul beloved for her cool-girl style, couldn’t be a better fit for the launch. “Hailey Bieber is one of the most influential women of our time,” reads a statement from the brand. “In addition to her entrepreneurial spirit, her outfits are a benchmark for street style, blending minimalism with refined streetwear.”

Monos Breaks Into Eyewear

For the first time, Canadian travel brand Monos has entered the eyewear category. Introducing the Mira collection, a 24-piece sunglass range including six minimalist silhouettes. Inspired by the natural surroundings and impressively built structures we see as we travel, these lightweight frames feature sleek lines, organic forms and nature-inspired colourways. Next time you’re headed OOO, you’ll want to have the brand’s suitcases and sunnies in tow.

Flamingo Estate Arrives at Holt Renfrew

Fashion met self-care earlier this month at Holt Renfrew, where the retailer hard-launched Californian brand Flamingo Estate. Best known for its garden-grown offerings like the Heirloom Tomato Candles in their signature green votives, exfoliating soap bricks, and Heritage Olive Oils, Flamingo Estate the brand was born in 2020 on the sprawling pink property it was named after.

Flamingos are naturally grey, deriving their fluorescent pink colouring from their food. The environmental impact of “how beautiful they become just by doing the right thing,” is what founder Richard Christiansen says inspired the name. “I want everyone to know that Flamingo Estate is my home,” he says. “I live there. It’s not a faceless brand, it’s a real place, people make things with their hands, and that’s very rare today.”

Kara Yoo’s Flutter Collection is Magical

Canadian jeweller Kara Yoo’s newly launched Flutter collection comes straight from the garden, with dainty pieces inspired by butterfly forms. We’re personally obsessed with the fairy silk Mirelle Necklace and the Posy Ring, which features two floating, lace-like butterflies in silver or gold styles.
